NOT display tool tips?

T

Troy @ TLC

Using PPT 2003 I have a presentation that uses many
hyperlinks to other shows. All works great except when the
link is "moused over" it displays the path to the linked
show (the tool tip) - which I do not want.

Is there a setting in PPT I am missing that turns these
off?

Many Thanks,
Troy

You can edit the hyperlink and change the screen tips text, but as far as I
know, you can't turn it off altogether. Even if it's just a space you still
get the little (blank) yellow box.

But "Click here to view the Badabing Presentation" is friendlier than
"c:\some\folder\badabing.ppt" and by changing the screen tip, you can get that.

Hello Troy,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the ability to disable all (or any) screen tips
during slide show.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality, don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
