Not able to set hyperlink

I am using PPT 2002:

I have a relatively short presentation (about 40 slides) in which from one
slide I hyperlink to a short series of slides and back. Some of the slides
are being provided by others. When I set the first hyperlink to say slides 15
- 20. No problem. I then copy another 5 slides from another presentation and
insert them into this presentation. When I try to set the hyperlink from the
same slide as above (different text) to the new 5 slides, I can't get the
hyperlink to work, even after going to the Action Settings and indicating the
correct slide to hyperlink to.

One thing I noticed is that when I try to set this second hyperlink up, in
the dialogue box where you select the slide to hyperlink to, there is no
image of the slide even though the text description is there. I have a
feeling that this has something to do with the hyperlink problem. Is there a
reason why some slide images will appear in the dialogue box and others will
not? (I did try copy and pasting the slides as well as INSERT from file ...
no difference.

thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Remove the comma from the slide title of the slide that you are
hyperlinking to. That should fix it.

As a test, go to one of the slides you're unable to create a link to.

Delete any punctuation or other unusual characters in the title text of the
slide (or delete the title text altogether and replace it with something simple
like "TEST").

Now try to create the link to this slide again.
