Norton Internet Security blocking .aspx pages?

J

James Andrus

If there is a better newsgroup to post this to, please advise.

I am running NIS 2003 with the ad blocking feature enabled (blocks ads and
pop-ups). Two web pages I regularly visit will not open unless I disable
the ad-blocking feature. These web page addresses end in aspx (as far as I
can tell, aspx has something to do with MS .NET). Is this really related to
them being aspx pages? Is this an inherent bug in NIS? Is there a
workaround (besides dumping NIS -- I kinda see that on the horizon)? Just
curious.

Thanks

Jim

I have a similar problem with google toolbar. Certain sites, freeservers.com
is one that seems to require this option turned off. With google toolbar
it's very easy to just unblock sites that need that. Another one is certain
features of hotmail, but here I use outlook to access the hotmail account.
