norton anti virus keeps disableing

Greg

weird my norton anti virus keeps showing up "disabled" the icon on the task
bar has a red X.

I go to norton options and hit "enable" and a screen pops up that says
"there is an error on the script on this page".

or something like that.

and norton will not enable itself why?
yes I have run a full system scan with norton (after restarting and getting
it to work) and with the newest adaware.
I have also run disk cleanup. in the services everything that says "norton"
on it is set to automatic except "norton personal firewall accounts
manager". and its set to manual.

what the hell?
Greg

Avoid hassles & Cost - Go to Partner Pack and get a 1-year free
subscription to CA's eTrust. After installing, get the latest version 7
and upgrade over the free version.
I removed Symantec Norton Anti-Virus from a customer's 3 PCs
this morning and installed eTrust - One every single one, it found
virus infections that the "World's Best Selling Anti-Virus Software"
left.

Some spyware products will disable antivirus software as part of their
infestation.

Go to MVP Jim Eshelman's Spyware Quick Fix page at
http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm and follow the procedures there to
locate and cleanup spyware on your machine.

Also get a "second opinion" on possible virus infestations by doing a
free online virus scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com
