Nokia Software issues on my Toshiba running XP

Guys,

For whatever reason, Nokia thought this problem should be
addressed to MicroSoft. I think Nokia is passing the buck,
but I wanted a second opinion. See the e-mail conversation

Dear Ginger,
Thank you for your response.

We understand your interest in having us follow-up with
Microsoft on your behalf regarding the computer error that
you are experiencing.

Nokia is unable to follow-up with Microsoft regarding the
computer error that you are having while using PC Suite, as
we have no access to your computer and will be unable to
provide adequate information to Microsoft's support

troubleshoot while on the phone. In this way, you will be
able to respond directly and immediately to any questions
or probing that they may require, and thus your concern
will be resolved in the most timely manner possible.

As mentioned in our previous e-mail, if you would like us
to troubleshoot your software concern directly, please
contact us via telephone, toll-free at 1-888-226-6542. We

Dear Nokia Support,

Thank you for your recommendation. I appreciate the
response. I would like to ask you a favour. Could you
please follow-up with Microsoft as you have detailed below?
I ask this of you because I would not like to get bounced
back to Nokia by Microsoft when they tell me "Oh that Nokia
software is causing a problem, you should contact their
technical support". Further, since my Microsoft Windows XP
was not experiencing any difficulties at all without the
presence of the Nokia software, I don't think they have
contributed to the problem I am having.

Consider the benefit to Nokia in you persuing this contact
on my behalf. You would have an opportunity to discover if
there is some incompatibility between your software and
Microsoft's O/S. I would not be able to achieve such a
benefit for you on my own, because I am not an expert in
your software. But you are. In fact, that is why I
contacted you in the first place, so that works out well.

Thank you in advance for your careful consideration of this
idea.

Regards,

Ginger Beer

Maybe you should e-mail them about six more times. After

Oh.

I guess I should have mentioned that when I called them,
they suggested that I contact MicroSoft. Anyway, thanks
for the input Wislu. At least you tried.

The version of PC Suite is the 4.85. PC Suite 4.85 comes
bundled with several applications, one of them being Nokia
Phone Editor 4.5. In my original message to Nokia, I
should have written "Nokia Phone Editor 4.5" or "PC Suite
4.85", but writing "PC Suite 4.5" was a mistake. :(
