Nokia 3650 infra-red connection problems

I used to have Windows 98 which allowed me to right-click
a file and click on send to > Infra-red device. Now that
would send the selected file via my infra-red adapter
(Konnect IRDA 13-0) to my Nokia 3650 phone, easy peasy.

However, now i have updated my system to Windows XP, this
function is no longer availble and i've been told that
the Konnect software that came on a CD with the infra-red
adapter isn't compatable with Windows XP. Therefore i was
told to go onto the Microsoft site and download some
drivers or something for it so it will work. However i
have searched the site for 'Nokia', 'Nokia
3650', 'Phone', 'Infra-red' and i haven't found a single
thing about connecting the Nokia 3650 to a computer via
infra-red for file transfers or about downloading any
updates or drivers etc.

So i was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to
direct me to somewhere i can download some drivers for
the Konnect Infra-red software so it will work with my
Nokia 3650.

Nokia has updated software for your phone that apparently
works with Windows XP - you can find it here:

I have no idea. Might be a good idea to head out to
Nokia's UK site just to be sure.

The Nokia phones are only different in the radio part of
the phone (different frequency in UK and US). No
complications with the software....
Says Nokia Cellular expert

Well i've downloaded and installed it but ...no luck. It
seems to be the same version as i had before.

The problem is the software will not recognise the infra-
red adapter. I click on the apporiate nokia software
tools in the taskbar and select infra-red device but it
just comes up with no phone connected, even though i got
infra-red activated on the phone and the little green
light on the adapter is blinking away to show a
connection is active (or its spotted another infra-red
device and can connect).

So, again, im stuck and don't know what to do
