NOD32 email protection

Hi all. I just downloaded the trial version of NOD32.
The control center shows: AMON, NOD32, and IMON, but not the email
module EMON.

I am using Netscape 7.1 mail. Does anyone know why? Is Netscape not
supported?

There is no more EMON. That's IMON's job now and I would think that you
would set IMON to scan whatever port Netscape 7.1 mail is using.

Yes, it's much simpler now than it was with the old POP3 scanner.
Generally, POP3 comes in via port 110, so I think that's already
there as the default. It does work...the few Swen emails a received
the other day were caught nicely.

I just bought NOD32 and I'm curious: what happens when you receive a
virus-infected email through pop3, does nod32 refuse to let you download
it, or is the attachment stripped from the message ?

It depends on your IMON scanner settings. I have mine set on
"notify/offer an action", so when IMON detects e.g. Swen in an
attachment it tells me so and offers an action
(delete/rename/clean/etc). Usually I delete the infected portion and
IMON appends a note to the mail, because I've set the scanner to do
so.

Cheers,
