nod32's imon crashes firefox

Hi,

Just installed a trial version of nod32 to replace mcafee which used
too many resources (caused weird pauses on my system - a t42p).

When imon is enabled, firefox just won't work. I've tried disabling the
http scanning, changing compatability modes, repairing winsock, but no
dice.

Can anyone help? It's fine to tell me to switch to KAV. I'd prefer to
stick with NOD32 - it seems very trim, and I like that. I just want
that imon to work. It seems important enough to use. If I can't get it
working soon, I guess I can try out KAV, which is resource-heavy, but
perhaps won't cause the resource spikes that Mcafee did.

Thanks.

I use Firefox and IE with NOD32 and IMON enabled. I have no problems with
IMON. BOD does a forum and you may want to post your question there or
contact NOD32 Tech Support. I don't know if you'll get any support on the
trial version.

Try F-Prot instead, or better yet F-Prot and AVG 7. NOD32 is nice and
all, but it doesn't like the presence of any other resident scanners.
AVG and F-Prot coexist very nicely and combined are much lower in
resource usage than Mcfee, or Norton.
