No System Folder in Group Policy Console

I want to control what programs run at startup. Apparently this is done by
making changes to the System folder in the Group Policy console.

But I don't have a System folder in the console. Can anyone tell me what's
wrong.

Robert, go to Start>Run type: msconfig and go to Startup. You
can make changes there. If you want to get to goup policy go to
Start>Run type: gpedit.msc

Thanks for the responses. My book on XP says not to use msconfig to control
what programs run at start up. It's not clear why.

I'll check out the group policy newsgroup.

Msconfig is designed to be a diagnostic tool, not one for making
changes you want to be permanent. For that reason, some people
recommend against using it for that purpose.

However, regardless of what its designed purpose is, it works fine for
making permanent changes, and I recommend using it.
