No Swap File!

Nothing I do will allow me to create a Page file on any
drives. I have an error in Event Viewer under System
saying that LDMS has failed on all three drives.
Everything seems to be running fine though I get the
message that Virtual Memory is Low and that windows is
creating a temporary Swap file. What is going on. "0"
space is allocated. I change it but nothing sticks.

Anyone Please? Ideas?

Something to try,

Create a Page file (or Swapfile) Partition on the first part of another
drive.
Create around 750 mb as a starting size. (this is usually large enough for
most users)
Then go to Start, right click My Computer and Properties, Advanced tab,
under performance click Settings and Advanced again, under Virtual memory
click Change,
Highlite the WindowsXP drive and set Minimum 10, Maximum 50 and click the
Set button,
Then highlite the Page file partition, and click - System managed size -
and click the Set button.

Ok and Apply your way back to the desktop.
You should Reboot.

Thanks but already tried that. I have 2 drives and have
tried creating swaps on all three with no luck. it says
that it is set but upon reboot it then says 0 allocated.
There must be an answer!

Open Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs and look for an entry for
the Intel Application Accelerator. If it is listed then select it and
click on Add/Remove to uninstall it. Reboot the computer and your
problem should be resolved.

And if the Intel Application Accelerator was installed then you should
go to www.intel.com and download the latest version of the Intel
Application Accelerator and install it.

If that is not the answer to your problem then see MVP Alex Nichol's
article on Virtual Memory in Windows XP at
http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm especially the section dealing with
problems.

Good luck
