No slideshow on DVD-RW drive

Hello,

I have 2 drives. A DVD ROM and and DVD-RW drive. When I place a CD
of picture folders in the DVD ROM, I have the ability to choose to
view the pictures in each folder as a slideshow. I can even view them
as a film strip. However, when I place the same CD in my DVD-RW
drive, I don't have the filmstip menu available nor the slideshow
feature on the right side menu.

Why is there a difference between the way I can view the pictures
between the two drives.

Right now the only way I can view a slideshow on my DVD-RW drive is to
doubleclick a picture and then click the slideshow button.
What is the best way to view a slideshow of pictures that are on a CD
with Win XP?

Thanks..

I noticed that some MVPs are recommending using irfanview for their
slideshows. Is irfanview that much better than Win XP's built in
slideshow?? Will it solve my issue with my DVD-RW drive?

Thanks
