No Minimize Icon in System Tray

My computer has suddenly lost the capacity to display icons in the system tay
of programs that have been minimized. The programs are still open and
hidden, but can only be accessed through Windows Task Manager. Any
suggestions on recovering the icons?

I"m a little confused, are the tray icons gone ( ie next to the clock at the
bottom right) or is the whole task bar gone? (ie start button and the whole
works) if the whole thing is gone hit the windows key and then right click
on the task bar and uncheck auto hide, also check to see that the box next
to keep on top is also checked. If the task icons are gone you should still
be able to access the minimized programs from the task bar. You can also
customize the task icons in the advanced properites menu to adjust thier
auto hide settings.

The system tray is there, not hidden and on-top. The task icons are visible.
Only the icons of programs that have been minimized are not visible.

Thanks. I found a fix on those sites. I lost the task icons that were
attached to the tray, but minimized program icons are visible. I'll keep
tweeking it. Thanks again.
