Hi yammy,

Go to Start>Run and key in:
inetcpl.cpl
Click on OK or hit ENTER
Does the Internet Options window appear? If not, then the inetcpl.cpl file
might be missing or corrupted. There should be a copy of the file in the
C:\Windows\System32\dllcache folder (set Folder Options to Show hidden files
and folders).....copy the file from C:\Windows\System32\dllcache to
C:\Windows\System32

Regards,

Hi Brad,
Beside all the advice you got try this:
Open a run Command and type in:
gpedit.msc click [OK]
On the group Policy locate this option under:
[&] User configuration
[+] Software Settings
[+] Windows Settings
[-] Administrative Templates
[-] Internet Explorer
[+] Application Compatibility
[+]Internet Control Panel
[ ] Offline Pages
[ ] Browser menus = Look in the right Pane/Window for this Option:
[$]Tools menu:Disable Internet Options... menu option.
Make sure this not Disabled for your account by double clicking it and see
the settings there.
Note you can do any changes unless you are logged as administrator.

Another the registry by opening a run command and type in:
regedit click [OK] and on the Registry editor locate this Key:
[-]HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies =
Edit if the IE Option is set to 1 set it to Zero.
Close the Registry and Reboot.

Hi Brad gain,

Did you tried the Registry:
[-]HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies
= NoBrowserOptions

No options appear under Settings on the Advanced tab of the "Internet
Options" dialogue box in Windows Internet Explorer 7
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928849

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/216583/en-us

Also you may have adwares on your computer so try to make sure all clean by
scanning:

Hi thanx 4 the responses. At this time I really am stumped with this .I have
tried what you have suggested to no avail. However i did find a copy of the
options in the directory which i could send to desktop. But It will not go
into control panel or into my browser. Also some other things do not work
such as fishing filter options and acrobat reader, I am sure there is other
things too, that do not respond. I am getting kind of scared that i might
screw up more stuff the deeper i get into this. I have even tried the system
restore but it says no changes have been made! How could options just
dissapear from the control panel? I have run the lavasoft removal tool,( Ive
had it for a time now and run it religously)and it does not help. I have
Norton anti virus protection too, and have had it for years with constant
updates. I see other people have had simaler problems with there options also
.. I am beginning to think it is ie7 that is causing this. If you have any
other suggestions they will be tried , thanx and god bless

Hi Brad,
You said the NoBrowserOptions is located in this Registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/Policies/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/Restrictions
= "NoBrowserOptions"
Try to delete it ("NoBrowserOptions") and Close the Registry and Restart
your computer.
Also I recommend uninstalling Adobe and download the latest version from
Adobe.com.
Also try to start IE7 with NO Add-Ons mode and see if that will help.
Run this command:
sfc /scannow click [OK] and let it run.
Good luck.
