No envelope icon with new hotmail messages

I have Outlook set up to handle two email accounts - a Hotmail account and
one other.
When I receive new mail to the other account I get the envelope icon in the
system tray, but this does not happen if I receive a new hotmail message.

Any ideas why? Can it be fixed?

notification is only for the default account, although I don't think it
supports hotmail regardless if the default setting.
