Receiving new email Notification for a Hotmail account

Hi

Can Outlook 2002 be set to give notifications (ie. envelope in sys tray
and/or new email pop up window) of new email for a Hotmail account?

I am having to open up the main Outlook window every time I want to check
for new mail, which is rather annoying.

At work, since there is one primary account, I receive all aforementioned
notifications of new email without problem.

No, but you can of course use MSN Messenger for this. It will give you new
mail notifications for Hotmail accounts.

Sure, but I have 2 hotmail accounts, and I like to use one for Messenger, and
the other with Outlook.

So there is no way to receive notifications through a hotmail account at all?

If not, can't the hotmail account be made the primary one ?
