No CD Burn

whenever i build the list of songs to burn and hit the
start burn button in media player 10 it will flash and
say inspecting on the first song for about a half of a
second and then it will go away like i never hit the
button.

I remember encountering the same problem... only that at logging off of XP,
a message "You have files wiating to be burned... would you like to burn
them now" (or to this effect anyways) popped out. I burned from there.
My take is that WMP awaits for you to close the list of files to be burned.
