no audio

Have a new dell precision with on board audio. Have tried everything
including adding a soundblaster board. I have checked the bios, have
loaded and unloaded drivers without success. When I test the hardware
using the supplied disk the audio works fine. Control panel continues
to say "no audio device" I looked into the registry and in shows all
"0" for auion settings. Any help??

A 'new' Dell, did it work out of the box or have you being tweaking?
If it didnt work out of the box call dell, thats what warranty / support is
for
