No Audio when importing from DV camcorder

I am new to this. Trying to make my first "movie". The video comes through
fine from my DV camcorder but no Audio. I am connected via USB. I do not
have a IEEE cable. AM I missing something here?

I would appreciate your help.

You really do need to use firewire, IEEE1394/i-link, to capture dv properly.
If you don't have a firewire port in the pc it's very cheap nowadays to buy
a pci (or pcmcia card for laptops) card and fit it. Make sure it is ohci
compliant, though most are.
