Hi all. I have no idea where to ask this extremely simple question, and
Microsoft tech support has been completely unhelpful. I have MSN premium
service through Qwest, and MSN is my ISP. I want to subscribe to
non-microsoft product related newsgroups, and I assume that MSN provides
newsgroup access, but no one can tell me what the name of the news
server is. Does anyone know? I want access to alt, rec, and those kind
of newsgroups.

AFAIK, MSN no longer provides nntp servers. You'll need to use another
service or Google groups unless quest offers nntp servers.

You asked this same question in a DIFFERENT newsgroup. When asking the SAME
question in multiple RELATED groups, cross-post! Do not multipost a bunch
of separate copies of your post. This disconnects all the replies so those
in one group are not seen in another group which results in users wasting
their time duplicating the reply already made by someone else. Multiposting
also wastes more disk space across all the NNTP servers worldwide because of
your duplicated message. Multiposting is used by spammers, scammers, and
malcontents.
