Any way to issue a ipconfig /release all during shutdown of the PC? I have a
laptop that I use to connect to two different networks and I get this error
when I switch.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Dhcp
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1002
Date: 7/14/2006
Time: 9:18:16 AM
User: N/A
Computer: TGKW003
Description:
The IP address lease 192.168.69.100 for the Network Card with network
address 0014229CEEDF has been denied by the DHCP server 10.59.1.1 (The DHCP
Server sent a DHCPNACK message).

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Tom

In WinXP Professional you run GPEDIT.MSC then open up
- Local Computer Policy
- Computer Configuration
- Windows Settings
- Scripts (Startup / Shutdown)

Note that the correct syntax under WinXP is
ipconfig /release, not ipconfig /release_all as
you suggest. This used to be Win98 syntax.

Thanks for the info but I am running Windows XP Home and I cannot find
GPEDIT.MSC

Any thing like that on Home Edition?

Thanks

Tom
