New Splash after installing SP2

After installing service pack 2, the Windows splash
screen no longer says Home, but only Windows XP. Is this
a bug or is this supposed to happen?

it's supposed to happen and as an added bonus it bugs you.

They changed it. That's the way it's supposed to be now. No more home or pro
designation on the boot screen.

How to do what?

Yes, the splash screen now just says "Windows XP". This is by design.
