Sometimes when i log on the this site i get the home page saying there is xx new posts but when i hit the link they dont always show up. But if i search the forums by going through the different sections then i can see them highlighted in bold.

Am i the only one who is having this problem?

I use I.E at work and firefox at home and it does it with both of them, so i know it probably isn't a broswer issue.

But its still a great site!! :)

When I logg-in, I go to "Forums/forums/new posts" but then that is not a fool-proof method.

The great Lord & Master is on a wee break in Spain at the moment ... we'll get him to have a look see ... I do like to have a peak at what's is New too. :D

Yup, I've noticed this over the last couple of weeks too - and I'll get on it as soon as I'm back tomorrow :) Hopefully should be working properly soon.

Just one check - does it seem to only show the current days new posts for you all, as I seem to get todays new posts and not all the new posts. Perhaps this was just a conincidence, but if someone else has this too then it might be easier to narrow down the problem.

Yes I think it only comes up with posts from today. If I log on after the date is changed it usually comes up with posts on the date I log in so previous dates messages even if they were posted just an hour ago are missed out.

When you go to the link you will realise this is not a new problem but only highlighted now by few of us.

Ian will be notified about this and hopefully the problem sorted :)

Sorry Quad, i didn't reaise that it was already noted. Didn't mean to step on your toes!! :)

Yes Ian, i think your right, only the days posts show up.

Ouch! :D

Not at all, this thread deals with the specific issue so good that you created it, besides others were able to contribute also.

Nice one Ian.

Just one question tho, is that why it says there is only 63 users online at the mo?

What's Going On? Currently Active Users: 63 (5 members and 58 guests)

I have never seen it that low!

It appears as if the site has been dropped from google, so there are record-low numbers! Typical now that the new servers are only just online to cope :(

Quite a few other sites have had the same thing happen to them, so hopefully its only temporary otherwise it will be a big blow. No idea why google decided to do this, so I've dropped them an e-mail.

Not a thing - although more people are reporting the same happening. It is a very strange more for google as this site is hardly contraband!
