New page Old frame

I'm making a website for my company using and old template they have. I want
to make a new page and put it under my index and just change the information
inside the new page. However, when I change anything on my new page, it goes
ahead and changes the text on my index page AND my new page. How do I make a
new page with the existing template i have and edit it without it editing my
original page?

Is the page you're trying to edit an include page on the index page? Did
you do a Save As and give it a different name?
