I have a computer that is running Win XP Professional SP2 with Office 2000
installed.

A few days ago, Outlook stopped recieving email in the Inbox until you click
on a different folder. Newly composed email messages do the same; they go to
the outbox and hang until you click on a different folder.

Have tried uninstalling and re-installing outlook. Tried running the repair.
Tried re-installing service pack 2.

The time of the emails seem to be off even once they come into the inbox.
The time on the pc is the same as the exchange server though.

You might want to try uninstalling Service Pack 2. I have read a lot of
discussion on the SP2 and one of the big problems is that it adversely
affects Outlook. We have been advised by our consultants not to download the
SP2 until Microsoft gets the bugs worked out. You could try uninstalling the
SP2 and see if that solves your problem and, if not, then you could alwasy
reinstall the SP2. Good luck!

Go to http://support.microsoft.com/ and search the Knowledgebase for "UDP".
Your answer is there.

I uninstalled Service Pack 2 and ran the detect and repair from the Office CD
and Outlook is now functioning normally now. I have not tried re-installing
SP2, but right now the problem has been corrected.

Thanks for the help!
