New hidden files folder at startup

I was having sound problems and reinstalled the sound program. Now when the
computer starts, the desktop opens , then a new folder comes on that it
titled "System 32". On the right side it says "These files are
hidden----you should not modify its contents." It can be opened and it
shows the hidden files content. Any idea how to stop this folder from
opening. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Ramesh,

I have worked with the registry before a little. I printed the info. and
could not find anything. I am also having a little problem on a couple
programs. I think I will try a repair of XP and see what happens. Thanks.

Hi Ramesh,

The problem is fixed. I opened the link you sent and Kelley's note about
L:ENG. I am using the Sound Blaster Audigy sound program. I just
reinstalled it because of sound problems. Using regedit/ startup, I
unchecked the L:ENG file and it now does not start the hidden file thing at
startup. I will add this to my tips and trucks list. Thanks for
everything.
