Startup sound pauses

This is no earth shaking problem, but all at once the startup sound goes
bonkers. It starts playing, then pauses and then starts up and finishes.
All of my sound files play ok. Evan when I play the sound file it is not
interrupted. I have tried several sound files and they all do the same. I
suspect some other starting file is the problem, but do not know what to do.
I finally found a startup file I like. It is the bugle call "Mess Call"
(My favorite subject) Any suggestions? Thanks in advance,

Something else is probably starting with Windows that is affecting this.
You can do clean-boot troubleshooting to see what is possibly
interfering with the startup sound.

Could have to do with other startup programs. Without knowing which they
are, here is some info that may pertain if this is a .wav file:

It has to do with size rather than length. Use as an example this .wav
stopped at 13 seconds.

A .wav encoded at CD quality (44kHz, 16-bit stereo), size 5.21MB, plays for
13 seconds. Saved at radio quality (22kHz, 8-bit mono), size 668KB, plays
in full.

Thanks Malke and Kelly. I will keep on it. And Cuddly Curmadgeon, The
reason I spell Geaser the way I do is 1 other forums I use, the correct
spelling was all ready in use. In 5 years I have not had any other
complaints. At age 80 1/2 I think I am entitled to a misspelled name. Have
a nice day
