new hard drive compatability with 6 year old pen III motherboard

have a Pen III version X86 family 6 model 8 stepping 1 596 mhz. 384 memory 4
g hard drive. Want to replace w 120g hard drive. Currently using ultra
ata/66. New hard drive ultra ata/133. Is this upgrade compatable?

An ATA 100/133 hard drive will step down to run at ATA 66 speeds.

What model motherboard? There is a possibility the motherboard may need a
BIOS update to use a large hard drive. Some older motherboards were limited
to just over 33 GB hard drives.
