new email account setup

Hello. I'm new to using a laptop on a wireless network and not sure if I
need to setup email account the same as my desktop on AT&T DSL naming the
incoming and outgoing servers as they are named on my desktop PC email
account. On the desktop I use Outlook via att.yahoo.com; however, I would
like to try on live.com on my laptop. Could use some expert advice on
setting up a new email account on live.com and suggestions for setting up
account for wireless connection, such as do I check the option "connect
using LAN" and do I keep 'pop.att.yahoo.com' for incoming mail server and
'smtp.att.com' for outgoing mail server? Thanks so much!

The server names and settings you use depend on which mail
account you want to set up.

except use port 587 rather than port 25 for the SMTP server.
