I have a WinXP desktop with a normal connection to the Internet via a
cable modem. I also have a WinXP laptop that I use when travelling and
I have a dial-up connection via modem. I like to dial up from the
desktop from time to time just to check things, etc, so I have the
dial-up connection set up on the desktop.
In Control Panel, Internet Options, Connections, I check "Never dial a
connection". But some program/option/whatever keeps setting this
option back to "Dial whenever a connection is not present" and then
for some reason I keep getting a pop-up asking me to dial my dial-up ISP.
How do I find what is re-setting this option and how do I STOP it from
doing this very aggravating action?
Thanks and regards, hawk
