I have a laptop, desktop, hub and dsl modem. I have been trying to set up a
network but it does not want to work. I keep on getting a error re a IP that
is already in use. 192.168.0.1 Nothing is uing this IP. I have tried to
configure is manually but then I cant use the internet. What am I doing
wrong?

You should use a router instead of a hub, and then everything will be
easier. If you are already using a router (and are just calling it a
"hub"), then the router's IP address is 192.168.0.1 and you've got one
of the other computers manually set to that address. If you are using a
router, set all computers on the network to automatically get an IP
address. Do this from the Local Area Network properties.
