Networking with Vista...

Hello,

I have a very strange situation: I have 2 laptops (Toshiba A200 series
-Vista Home Premium; Asus Z83C-XP SP2, both with wifi device incorporated).
The problem, in fact the problems: The Asus laptop is connected wired to
internet and I want to connect to internet the Toshiba laptop through Asus by
WiFi. For that I created an ad-hoc, I made/install all the things possible
(KBs) that I’ve found and nothing happens. The Vista see the in the list of
wireless network the ad-hoc from XP but...
And then I connected the Vista to the internet by cable. Of course, it's
working, but surprise: Yahoo Messenger can't connect, Windows Mail can't
connect, Windows Live Messenger can't connect,... I have to mention that in
the firewall allow these applications to communicate. I've deactivated the
firewall, the result? Nothing works except Internet Explorer. By Internet
Explorer I've connected at a Plesk admin panel to the port 8443 and it works.
For example when the Messengers tries to connect in the -netstat- there
aren't information regarding a domain or a server to connect.

Can somebody give me a response why Vista cannot do some basic tasks for a
super technology like this much appreciated OS?

Any suggestions would be welcome!

Thank you a lot,

Cosmin
