Networking Problems

Hey, I'm having trouble setting up a win 98 (host) and win xp (guest) direct
cable connection. I can get the host to see the guest and share the guests
shares but not the other way around. Also, I can't get the guest to access
the net via the host. How can I work around this. I've tried looking up how
to do it on the net and used a program called DCC Connect but it hasn't
helped at all. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I get the message:

\\homeserver
The network path could not be found.

I have file and print sharing enabled and I've checked to make sure the IP
addresses are OK in the network settings on both computers and they seem to
be OK. So I'm puzzled as to what the problem could be.
