Network Driver

I have a network card and can't get the correct driver to install. My
system keeps automatically installing a driver that conflicts with my
system. Once that happens, I can't display the Device Manager to update the
driver. I can take the card out and uninstall the software for the wireless
network card, then everything runs fine.

When I install the software and put the card in, the system seems to want to
install the incorrect driver again. I need to purge the system of the bad
driver. Un installing the software as described earlier only uninstalls the
good drivers. The bad driver is still on my system.

How can I purge my system of the bad driver... permanently.
Thanks

Note: This is a DLink DWL 520 wireless card.

Check with the manufacturer of this device for a digitally signed Windows
specific device driver for the device. Run the Update Driver wizard using
the Update Driver button, but do not let Windows automatically detect
devices. Instead, click Have Disk when prompted, and manually point the
wizard to the appropriate driver.

Like I said, once the card is in, my system installs (actually attaches
because it does not display that it is installing) the wrong driver. I
guess this happens because I let windows detected and install once before.
That's the past/this is the present. Once this happens, I can't run the
update driver utility, otherwise, I would point to the correct driver.

I'm un-installing and relying on a Registry Cleaning to rid all instances of
this product.

Computer just hangs up. The utility won't come up along with several other
weird things.
My conclusion is that the card is bad. I purchased a new card and all is
fine.

Thanks
