Network Adapters

I need help.
I am not very familiar with computer program and will appreciate if someone
could explain to me in simple term.
I am running XP Home on a Fujitsu Laptop.
In the 'Device Manager' I have this "Microsoft Tun Miniport Adapter" under
"Network Adapters". This Microsoft Tun Miniport Adapter is not working
properly when enabled. I am not able to update the driver nor uninstal the
same. Any attempt to uninstall the device it will prompt "Failed to uninstal
the device. The device may be required to boot up the computer".
Is this device important to the computer system? How can I reload/reinstal
this device?

Although you might get lucky and get an answer to your Windows question in
this C++ programming discussion group, you'll do much better if you post in
a Windows XP group. Here's how to find the group you need.

As you appear to be using a web interface, try this:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/

In the tree on the left, open English, then open Windows. In the
Windows subcategory, find and open the subcategory for Windows XP, and
find a group there for your post.
