Netmeeting Remote Desktop

Hi..

I have XP Home edition. But I have a product simular to DynIP installed so I
can use a host name to get to my computer. The phone company provided that
for me at no charge.

I have turned off all the firewalls for testing and I still can't get
Netmeeting to answer calls, in order to use remote Desktop control.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to access my XP Home edition desktop
without paying GOTOMYPC20 bucks per month?

You connect to the Internet by string-in-can?
Dial-up?
DSL?
Cable modem?
Other?

You connect to the Internet in whatever way - forward any ports through
whatever NAT devices, confirmed with the ISP that the ports you need are not
blocked and turned off your system's firewalls and.. what happens?

Sring on a CAN. Laughing out LOUD!

DSL. Using DSL.

How do you do port forwarding? What software do you use for that?

EVERYTHING is turned of. Symantec and Windows Firewall are ALL OFF.

I'm thinking its the remote computer's firewall blocking me.

I will test from another dial up PC tomorrow.

Port Forwarding is a feature of your router.
Its built in console is used to configure it.
Its user manual should explain it.
