I have 2 Windows 2000 server machines w/SP4 5.00.2195 both of which are set
up as domain controllers on a multi-location site. When doing an IPCONFIG
/ALL it shows that "NetBIOS over TCPIP is DISABLED" even tho it is set to
[Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP] in the network properties.
I have checked the HKLM\SYSTEM\CCS\Services\NetBT\Paramaters\Interfaces and
set netbiosOptions to 1, I have re-installed the NIC drivers (Intel Pro 1000
TC), I have disabled and re-enabled NetBIOS, I have installed NetBEUI.....
nothing works. I am unable to browse the domain, and cannot get into the
server shares.
I am assuming to re-install TCP/IP on the domain controller.... I have also
run the WinSOCK fix. Any help is appreciated!
