Hello,

is there an possibillity to use the "net send" command which was in 2000/xp
in an windows vista environment. I have a network with a windows 2000/2003
server and some clients have now Vista. But "net send" will not wordk with
these clients. I would use it to send an message when i want to reboot a
server or something like that.
Is ther an solution for it or another program or...???

best regards

'net send' has been removed from Vista.

Take a look at http://www.cezeo.com/products/netsend/ for a free
replacement or

http://www.cezeo.com/products/lantalk-xp/for a pay-for replacement.

Hello,

http://www.cezeo.com/products/netsend/ for a free > replacement --> can't
receive messages. I want to send it by the server to the clients....

And the pay version is to expensive for 40 users for us, I will inform my
superior on this...

any other ideas, has vista no replacement software for netsend?
