net logon services not run problem

Hi

i am the administrator of my company network , one colege
have left the company few days ago , his workstation is
win XP , our network domain is win 2000 server , but after
i change his password account from the active directory
console , then i try to access hisaccount from his
computer it didnt accept the new password even i try to
log with another user , it gives me a message telling that
the netlogon service is not run on that computer , also he
change the Local administrator password , the only
solution i have now is to format that computer for using
it again , or plug his hard disk slave with another
machine , but i want to enter that computer , its like a
quest for me , so how can i get the netlogon service run
again on that machine , i mean if some body could guide me
to edit the sestym file of that service , by connecting
his hard disk slave to another machine , then connect it
again and enter that computer , i will appriciate any help
on that matter .

If the Netlogon service has been disabled you can boot the computer into the
Recovery Console and set the startup type to automatic.
