Net Framework 1.1 Hang

I am trying to install Net Framework 1.1 on a 2000 Professional SP4 machine.
Box is Asus P5LD2-VM motherboard, 1gig RAM, Intel 805 Processor. When I try
to install Net Framework 1.1 it gets to point of compiling aspnet.mof and
hangs. The dodnetfx.exe process shows not CPU usage. I have 17 of these
systems to build and Framework 1.1 is critical.
