.NET Framework 1.0 Service Pack 3 fails - missing netfx.msi.

I tried to install the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 Service Pack 3 from
the Windows Update site and it failed. I contacted Micorsoft support and
they told me to do a couple of things and then try to install the patch
from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...61-4a92-4106-a9bc-83e78d4abc5b&DisplayLang=en

When I tried that I got an error popup saying it could not find
'netfx.msi'. The complete text in the popup was:

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable.

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to folder containing
the installation package 'netfx.msi' in the box below.

C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\IXP000.TMP\"

C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\IXP000.TMP\ does not exist on my computer nor could I
find netfx.msi anywhere. I've sent the problem back to Microsoft support
but they haven't responded yet.

Any ideas about what it wrong and what I can do to fix it? BTW, there is
no netfx.msi on my other computer where the installation of the update
worked fine from the Windows Update site.

Thanks
Jim
