>NET Compact Framework vs. EVC 4.0

I have boith the .NET Compact Framework and eVC 4.0 installed on my system.
I can deploy applications to the PocketPC 2003 Emulator from withtin .NET
Compact Framework but eVC 4.0 is unable to start the emulator. Also, the
various embedded tools (FileView, etc.) cannot start the emulator. How can
I use both development environments?
