nero vision express problem

I have recently installed an NEC 1300 DVD burner along
with the enclosed Nero Vision Express software for DVD
burning (am running Windows XP Home edition Service Pack 1
woth 512 Mb RAM). Although the software allows me to set
up the burn, and starts to do whatever processes it needs
to, my computer locks up completely before the DVD (or
VideoCD) actually starts to burn. I have heard that one or
more of the Windows XP Security updates may be the cause -
does anyone if this is the case and if so which one do I
need to de-install to be able to burn DVDs successfully.

Hi!

I also have the same problem with WinXP Pro. The burning of a DVD
stops after chaching the files. I am using Nero Burning Rom.

Do you both have the DVD/MPEG2-Plug-in from Nero installed? It's not a
part of Nero and NVE. One has to buy it separately if using Nero 5 and
NVE 1 versions. It's included in the new Nero 6 package with Nero
Vision 2 and other tools.
