Need Write rights NOT Change or Delete

Our file server is Server 2003, SP1.

We have a folder that requires staff to be able to save documents and read
them, but not change, modify, or delete the docs.

I have been unable to determine how to setup special permissions, its either
read only, no write, or full control.

Please advise

The overall permissions on the main security page for
read/list/execute/write should do what you want. If you need to configure
special permissions do not give the users special permissions for delete.
The link below may help even though it is for XP almost all applies to
Windows 2003 also and it shows what special permissions equal an overall

I was able to disable inherting of permissions and then:

Uncheck :

Full Control and Modify

but leave the rest alone. So you should have write, read and exceute, list
and read selected.
