need to consolidate selected resume files from about 8 floppies

I am looking for work (again!). I have 8 to 10 floppies containing resumes
and cover letters form the last 3 times I have looked for work over 3 or 4
years. I take a job description and use the words in it to make my
"customized resume" just for that employer. Over the years I have many files
that are similiar. For example, I have 18 files on 5 disks for administrative
assistant. I want to go through each disk and take each admin. ass. file and
put it on it's own disk or folder. What's the easiest way?

Why not go through each disk and put the files into its own disk or folder?

Never ever read from, write to or print from floppy with Word. This is the
most certain method of ensuring document corruption. Copy to the hard disc
and work on the documents from there.
