Need some technical help with errors at start up of Windows XP Pro

S

Stephanie

Looking for some help from anyone who has experience with
error messages I am only recently receiving:
1. WJView error: error: could not execute main: The
system cannot find the file specified.
2. RUNDLL Error loading C:\Windows\Downloaded Program
files\bridge.dll The specified module could not be found.

I also have my Norton Antivirus advising it has detected a
virus and removed it...but it continues to pop up numerous
times a day that it has been detected and removed.
Object name: C:\Progr...\webRebates0.exe
Virus name: Backdoor.Trojan
Can anyone provide some assistance in correcting these 3
problems to a semi-not so-advanced computer person.
Thank you! (e-mail address removed)

Hi

1. "WJView Error at Startup":
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/WJViewError.htm

2. bridge.dll is part of some spyware - have a look here:

http://www.pestpatrol.com/PestInfo/w/winfavorites_bridge.asp

Also try these programs to check for any other spyware that may be on your
system:

Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://forum.aumha.org/downloads/cwshredder.zip

Try SpyWareBlaster to stop intrusions:

Also see the following links:

http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
http://www.microsoft.com/security/articles/spyware.asp

I don't use NAV, so am not sure how accurate it is. Try here:
