Need project management add-on for Outlook - which is best?

Hello, I use MS Outlook tasks for managing a pretty large and complex
project. It is pretty good, but where can I find advice to ensure that I am
maximizing Outlook's functionality in this area? Or should I look into an
addon, and if so, which are good? Thank you for your help,

I create a task in Outlook for every task that needs to be completed. I use
categories to group the tasks. In addition, I have set up rules for every
category, so that every email I send that needs a task created, I go to
"Options" and mark the email with the appropriate category and the rule
automatically drops it into my task list.

I am using version 5.1.2600.

Hope this was clear. Thank you for your help!

You are on track!

Also try rules that Categorise incoming emails. then drag and drop to to
tasks and they are already categorised.

Try making a New View that filters by category.

have a look at the timeline view too.

What else do you want to do? Outlook isn't a project manager. this is about
as for as it will go.

I really, really appreciate the suggestions and I will probably implement
them all!! I know it isn't a project manager, and I am realizing that I will
probably, eventually, have to move to something else. Because I am so Outlook
oriented, however, I was wondering if there are products out there that
expand the current functionality that I am using, and if so, how would I
evaluate them. Thanks for your help it will push me another step forward!

My company offers a Web based project management system, TrackerSuite.Net, that integrates with email systems, including Microsoft Outlook. You can surface TrackerSuite.Net within your Outlook email client, and also drag-and-drop emails into a TrackerSuite.Net folder to create tasks and project documents based on them. You can also synchronize project tasks in TrackerSuite.Net with Outlook tasks. For more information, visit our site: http://www.TrackerOffice.com.
