I have built PC's using both the Tsunami and the Antec P160. My personal PC
is using the P160. One thing I like about it is that you can reach
everything without having to open a door. I got my P160 from NewEgg. It came
with a 2 120mm blue LED fans, one in front and one in back. It also has a
side window.

My point is, why order 2 different drives?

I have a 36GB WD Raptor and a 250GB WD.

It works well... I have some FAST storage and some LARGE storage.

Perhaps he's gettng different drives because the drives are different,
and each has something that he wants. (The Raptor has speed, the other
capacity)

Oh, that's because I need more than 74GB. I don't know of any 300GB
10,000rpm SATA drives. SCSI is out of my price range. So the Raptor is
pretty convenient for me.

The idea is to use the Raptor as the OS drive... and the 200GB Seagate
for everything else (docs & stuff). So the OS is running and swapping
on 10,000rpm. And whatever humongous documents I have (videos, for
instance) will be on the Seagate.

Since the price is nearly the same and can't think of any reasons to
*avoid* SATA since it will inevitably replace IDE down the road, I
just made that 2nd drive SATA as well... not expecting it to run as
fast as the OS drive, but requiring the additional storage space.

One thing that you can do with 2 equal harddisks is "mutual backup", so
that when one disk dies, you can restore it from the other disk. This
is because when harddisk dies, it rarely dies partition at a time. It's
usually the whole thing is dead.

You'd think our two responses would have at least merited a "oh, okay" from
Axl, huh?

Not really... after all, we did "chew on him" :p

Have fun with the 74, and NCQ... It's not like I'm envious or anything...
