After updating my Windows XP, I could not print anything. I use a network
printer. Whenever I try to print any document I get error message
<Copied Text>
Eg. “Data Execution Prevention – To help protect your computer, windows
closed this programâ€.

I have tried everything that has been suggested like:

How can I tell if DEP is available on my computer?
1. To open System Properties, click Start, click Control Panel, and then
double-click System.
2. Click the Advanced tab and, under Performance, click Settings.
3. Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.

By default, DEP is only turned on for essential Windows operating system
programs and services. To help protect more programs with DEP, select Turn on
DEP for all programs and services except those I select.

I turned on DEP for all programs but still I get the same error message.
What seems to be the problem?

Could you please suggest me few possibilities coz support from Microsoft
were very dissapointing? Is it possible for me to uninstall the related
update only? What can be its name and location? It is a bit urgent.

You should try turning OFF the DEP protection. Unless you are thinking of
finding an updated driver for your printer, it's the only way to make it work.

I am having a similar problem with DEP. When I right click on the desktop, I
get the DEP error pointing to Windows Explorer. I have listed it as an
exception but still get the same results. How do you turn DEP off completely?

any other suggestions, Im all ears.
