Difficulties with Data Execution Prevention

Can anyone help with this?

I installed Service Pack 2 and now I can't click on shortcuts from the Start
menu. The error messages are to do with Data Execution Prevention. If I
right click and select Openor Explore, thigs work fine.

I have changed the DEP settings to "Turn on DEP for essential Windows
programs and serices" but this doesn't help.

Any bright ideas?

Glad to see that I am not the only one that has this problem. This must be
caused by one of MS security updates.
Hope someone finds a cure soon.
