Need Help-Downloaded updates

I downloaded updates to my desk top pc for Winows XP pro. After downloading
all my pc does is boot and re-boot over. I tried ASR (Automated System
Recovery) and it began to format the H.drive so I stopped it.
Tried booting from the Windows XP disk and got to a command prompt
(C:windows ) I didn't know what to enter so I stopped it there.
When the pc re-boots sometimes there is a string before it goes to the post
screen, it reads: 11x-2E6301SA-002 RV670 CDDR3_16Hx32 25 I'm sure of all of
this string except for the 6 and the H in the 16H.
Is there anyone who can help me with this problem? I would like to be
able to get back into windows and remove the updates from the control pannel
window, you know the "Add / Remove Programs" list if possible.
I sure would apreciate the help!

This string "11x-2E6301SA-002 RV670 CDDR3_16Hx32 25" is coming from the
video card. The video card has a BIOS chip, and when some of those
load, they print an identifier on the screen. That would be very
early in the computer startup sequence, and before Windows loads.

When this happened

"all my pc does is boot and re-boot over"

you should have stopped and asked for help at that point.
Depending on what you've damaged by messing around, it is hard
to say exactly what is still recoverable.

Your computer has things like "Safe Mode", which you can get to
by pressing F8 at the right instant. F8 tells Windows you
want to select an option, as in this example. I can't tell
from your description, where you're at right now.

.
Hi Paul, Thanks for the advice.
When I start the pc after it has been off a while it goes to the "Safe mode"
selection, I've tried them all, I thought the "Last known good start up"
might work, but no such luck.
I still get the same result, Windows begins to boot - Windows Logo and the
scrolling bar at the bottom of the logo. Then the pc appears to start or try
to start windows, you know, when it goes from the logo screen to the log-in
screen.
Then beep and back to the BIOS post and it starts the same procedure again.
I tried the F8 suggestion and it took me to a "select boot device" dialog.
I tried the H drive and got the same result, when I insert the Winows CD it
re-installs drivers and goes to the C :windows prompt at this point I don't
know what to enter so I enter "exit".
When I boot from the ASR(Automated System Recovery) it also re-installs
drivers then begins a formatting sequence which I stop immediately.
I would like to be able to get into windows and remove the last set of
updates which I am sure has created the problem.
What can I do?
Thank you for the input!
